Are you truly free on this Independence Day?

Are you truly free on this Independence day? Imagine for a second…

When you were born, no one gave you a name. (though it’s become your central identity)

No family indoctrinated you with their societal or cultural beliefs. (though you’ve grown to like and cherish them)

No profession was the measure of your inherent worth as an individual (though they’ve tried their best to box you in)

No ego complex drove you towards fame, power, wealth or pleasure as the ultimate measure of success. (though it’s become a central pursuit of happiness)

No technoutopia fooled you into a false narrative of progress through tech alone (though we're very much stuck in this paradigm today)

No political party defined your beliefs. (just so they could count on you following a fixed ideology)

No nation brainwashed you into believing it's sole greatness against other nations (just so they could take you to war when it was profitable to do so).

No religion brainwashed you into believing its superiority against other paths. (just so they could guilt you into compliance and see others as less worthy)

Who would you be then?

Free from all of this societal conditioning that is forced upon us everyday.

The societal conditioning that separates us from seeing the sacredness of life within ourselves and all other beings.

Could this conditioning be at the root of all of our global political, social and ecological crisis?

Would you experience more freedom or less freedom without this conditioning?

And, who are you today?

Have you gotten used to the illusion of ‘freedom’ within the boxes of societal conditioning?

Will you reclaim your soul's freedom on this Independence day?

I recommend you keep what's working and discard what isn’t. The choice to be free is yours alone.

P.S. If this post stirred something within you, share it with 1 other person who you think would appreciate it. That’s how we lift the collective consciousness of the planet one meaningful act at a time.
