Earth Week Series:Doing Business LikeThe Earth Matters

What if we did business like the Earth matters? A perspective for Earth week.

Much of how we’ve learned to build and growis based on one quiet assumption.

Business is responsible for nothing more than creating profit.

That the Earth is here for us to use. That people are here to produce. That attention is here to be captured.

And that success is measured by how much we can extract, scale, and accumulate.

So we build companies that optimize for growth, even when that growth comes at a cost.

To the Earth. To people. To ourselves.

We pollute the Earth in the name of progress. We pollute the mind in the name of engagement. We neglect the body in the name of productivity.

And we call it success.

Just like we are not the center of life, business is not just about profit.

It has to be about responsibility.

To what we create. To who it impacts. To the life it touches.

What would change if the way we build and work was truly in service to life?
